Legacies of Racial Violence

These resources found under the “Legacies of Racial Violence” graph are broken up into six categories, intergenerational wounds, police brutality, prison reform, mass incarceration, activism, and Black Lives Matter. When preparing students’ for their lives after school, these subject matters are some focal points for understanding what legacies of racial violence consist of in a modern era. On the left column under “Specific Resources” are explanations for what each horizontal row of resources will consist of. By integrating these specific categories of study into the classroom, we can better inform the future of tomorrow.
