BIRMINGHAM. A Negro Lynched. Birmingham, Ala., July 5.– News reached Birmingham last night of a lynching which occured in a swamp near Jasper, in Walker county, Ala., yesterday morning. It was an unknown negro who fell a victim to an infuriated band of citizens. He had sttempted to assult two highly respected white women in one day. The fiend was surrounded in an eighty acre swamp and as soon as the gray streaks allowed he was riddled with bullets.
