Transcript: | A pine box believed to contain the bones of William Drue Connor, of Choctaw county, who was killed, his body wired to a tree and cremated in December, 1921, was carried to Mobile by R. E. Hunt, special investigator of the state attorney general’s office, and W. B. NeSmith, federal prohibition agent, in an effort to clear up the mysterious death of Connor. |
