HUNG HER CHILD.

Revolting Crime of a Negro a School Teacher in Bibb.

The Bibb Blade tells of a revolting crime as follows: “Friday news was received of another base crime committed near Randolph in this county, which adds another stain to Bibb’s record. We did not learn the party who found the body, further than that it was found and the fact reported to Esq. Mahan, who summoned a jury and witnesses to meet bim one mile from Randolph in the woods, where the a body was found with a string tied around I its neck, and it was a negro child. Mr. Mahan empanelled his jury and took such evidence as he could in the case, and the verdict was to the effect that the tafant came to its death from strang- riation, and that its mother was a negro school teacher by the name of Roxie Elliott, who was at the time of the finding of the child in Briarfield sick. The papers were returned to the County Court and a warrant issued for the arrest of Roxie Elliott.
