Birmingham; Ala., August- 13.- At Brookwood mines, Deputy Sheriff Nelson went to serve a warrant for assault to murder on Will McKay, a young miner last night, McKay reached for his pistol and Nelson fired, filling McKay with slugs. McKay died this morning. It seems that McKay’s mother who was a widow had been keeping company with a man who was objectionable to McKay. |
