MAY BE LYNCHING AT MAPLESVILLE POSSE IS IN PURSUIT OF NEGRO WHO SHOT WILSON DAVEN PORT AT HIS HOME-PEOPLI ARE INCENSED. Selma, October 30.-(Special.)- – A mes sage was received here this afternoon b: Sheriff Blackwell from Maplesville re questing him to come at once and brin; his bloodhounds, as Wilson Davenpor had been killed by a negro named Jin Harden. It is learned that Mr. Davenport wa trying to drive away a crowd of drunker negroes from the front of his home who were cursing and fighting, when Jim Har den, who was in the crowd, drew his pis tol and shot Mr. Davenport in the breas twice, killing him instantly. The negro made his escape, going to Mulberr: swamp. A posse is in pursuit, but owing to the density of the swamp and the in ability of the dogs to reach the scene be fore morning the negro will hardly be ap prehended before tomorrow. A message states that should the negro be caught he will be mobbed, as the en tire community is very much incensed over the dastardly deed. The dead mai leaves a wife and two children. Reward Offered. Maplesville, October 30.-(Special.)- re ward of $150 has been offered by E. F Fuller, justice of the peace, for the ar rest and delivery of Jim Harden, the ne gro who shot G. W.
