| Transcript: | Mobile, Ala., April 23. A special from Minette says Sheriff E. Armstrong returned from the scene of the murder of Dr. Cole, at Little River, to report to the governor the lynching of Ruben Sims, a negro, by the citizens of Monroe county at North Baldwin. Sims confessed, after being whipped three times.He was hanged to a limb and riddled with bullets. |
