– FIVE colored men were hanged the other day, as follows: John McKelsey, at Selma, Ala., for murdering his wife; Scip Holley at Tuscaloosa. Ala., for murdering his employer, a young planter: Berry Johnson, at Ehreveport, La. for wife murder; Josh Berryman, at Natchitoches. La, for the murder of another colored man, and Willie Williams, at Franklin, La, for murder.
