| Transcript: | On circus day at Tuskaloosa- Friday, 11th- a negro was shot and seriously wounded by a white man named McGee. The Clarion states that after the shooting negroes tried to mob McGee, and were with difficulty kept back by the officers aided by a few sensible colored men. |
