Transcript: | Walter Clayton, a Negro convict, was lynched near Bay Minette, Ala. He had assaulted Mrs. Joseph White. John Burr was hanged by a mob near Wesson, Miss. Burr had murdered the twelve-year-old son of his employer because the boy interrupted him while fishing. |
