Transcript: | NEGRO KILLED—Tho – Rev. Hon. Richard Burke, negro, was shot and killed near his house in the town of Gninesville, Ala., night before last, (Fri- day, by a party of men who went there, doubtless for that purpose. He attempt- ed flight, but his body was riddled with bullets. The party was not in disguise. Burke is a negro Legislator for the county of Sunter It is understood, that he was forward in sending parties of armed negroes to Livingston last Sat. urday.
