Transcript: | Negro Lynched In Alabama. BIRMINGHAM, Ala., June 0. Near Strasburg, the body of Jim Powell, a Negro, was found hanging to a limb. Monday night Powell entered the residence of John Bussy, a well known farmer near there, and assaulted a young daughter of the farmer. Pursuit was given the Negro by a posse, and he was captured near Calera, fifteen miles away, and was carried before the girl, wheJdentified him. |
