| Transcript: | The case of the State vs Josephus Jowers and John Edwards from the circuit court of Elmore County has been affirmed by the supreme court of Georgia. This is the case in which the two defendants and six or eight other white men went to the house of a defenseless negro in Elmore County at midnight last year and taking him into the woods whopped and unmercifully and finally shot and killed him. |
