| Transcript: | SHOT AT FROM AMBUSH. Ed. Thompson, of Cottondale, who shot Prof. Stewart in the jaw with a pistol about two months ago, and who also shot a negro near this place about 14 months ago, was shot at from ambush in Cottondale Monday night fortunately for him the bullets did not strike bis body, but four or five buckshot made their way through the side of bis coat. The shooting was done in the vicinity of the Cottondale Baptist Church, and the parties who did it are as yet unknown. |
