Six White Men Sought In Slaying of Negro TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Sept. 25(UP) Six white men, who impersonated police officers, were sought today as the slayers of Dennis Cross, negro charged with accosting a white woman. Cross, free on bond, was taken from his home to an isolated spot near the city limits and shot. Sheriff R. L. Shamblin said the only clue was the tire tracks of the slayers’ automobile.
