Mobile, April 8. – It is admitted to-day that Walter Clayton, an escaped negro trusty locked up for assaulting a white woman and escaped from sheriff after mob had threatened him, is still at large and heading for Pensacola. The mob was intoxicated or the negro would not have gotten away. Governor Comer offers fifty dollars reward for Clayton.
