| Transcript: | Chattanooga, September 24.- A Special from Tuscaloosa, says: On Sunday, at the village of Carthage, a negro named Start, seized a well known lady while in the suburbs, and dragging her to a clump of bushes, ravished her. She gave the alarm and a posse of 100 hunted the negro down and riddled him with bullets. |
