Transcript: | The REIGN OF TYRANNY- Randolph, editor of the Tuscaloosa Monitor, , having become involved in a difficulty with a negro, inflicted a wound on him with a knife. Learning subsequently that his arrest was ordered by the military, Mr. R. set out at once, voluntarily, to report to Gen. Shepherd, at Montgomery. On arriving there, Gen. S. informed him that he must be committed to the military prison without the benefit of bail. He further remarked that in all cases of military arrest the parties would be committed to military prison, there to remain until discharged by a military commission, |
