UXORCIDE Thursday night Node Madison, a negro bootlegger, in a fit of anger, shot his wife, Minerva, through the stomach, and Friday night the woman died from the effects of the wound. Her ante mortem statement is very damaging to Node, who was promptly arrested and placed in jail. The negroes are greatly incensed at the prisoner and say if the sberiff will turn him over to them, they will save the county the expense of a trial. Madison, we learn, is attempting the crazy act.
