Transcript: | WERE PLACED UNDER BOND C. F. Moody and Kirby Bush, the two men who were brought down from Brookwood and placed in jail, charged with the killing a negro by the name of Red, were admitted to bail yesterday in the sum of $500.00 each. The preliminary trial was to have come up before Justice James L. Foster, but the bail was granted with the consent of the Solicitor without the process of a preliminary trial as the witnesses of the state could not be procured at this time. The matter will go over to the meeting of the grand jury, when a full investigation into the matter will be had. |
