A Negro On A Drunken Spree Is Killed. Columbus Davis, a negro section hand on the AGS met his death as a result of a spree last night. He went to the residence of the section foreman, Mr. Si Hinton, nl it is said cursed and abused Mrs Hinton and the family. He was finally taken to his home but presently broke loose again and was making things unpleasant generally when Mr Hinton arrived on the scene. It is said that the negro tried to get his gun and Mr Hinton fired, death following very shortly. A coroners inquest was held but it was decided to be a case of justifiable killing.
