MOBILE, Ala., April 7. – The man hunt for Walter Clayton, the negro charged with assault, is still on, according to a message received from Sheriff D. R. Booth. It was reported yesterday that Clayton had been lynched near Bay Minette, Baldwin county. Booth’s message says the mob was drunk and Clayton escaped and is still at large. When his escape was learned, another posse was immediately formed and is scouring the woods.
