Livingston, Ala., Jan. 25.- Richard Burton, negro, charged with burglary and the wounding of a storekeeper at Boyd Station, was hanged by a mob near here today. Burton and two other negroes were discovered in a store at Boyd Station, was hanged by a mob here today. Burton and two other negroes were discovered in a store at Boyd Station late last night. Burton stabbed the storekeeper several times.He was being brought to jail here when the mob overpowered his guard and hanged the negro to a tree.
