CENTERVILLE PLEASED
Rush Norwood, who now lives at Abernant, Tuscaloosa county, was tried in the City Court of Tuscaloosa last week for second-degree murder and Was acquitted without the jury leaving the box. Mr. Norwnod was a constable in the northern part of the county, and in attempting to arrest a negro, was compelled to shoot him, killing him instantly. His friends in Bibb will be glad to know that he was justified in the kilting. Mr. Norwood served for several years in the United States army and was stationed in the West Centerville.
