The Livingston Journal says, that a negro who had killed a white man in Tuskaloosa County, about two years age, was himself killed on the 10th inst., near Greensboro,’ Hale County. This negro’s name was Levi Cochrane – the same who killed young Finley, on the other side of the river, nearly two years since. We are glad that justice is sure, if it is slow. Let this be a warning to the negroes. They cannot commit crime against the whites without getting their punishment either soon or late. The death of Levi ends the Finely vendetta, in which two white men and some half a dozen negroes perished.
