DEPUTY SHOOTS NEGRO SCHOOL TEACHER DEAD Special to The Birmingham News. TUSKALOOSA. Ala., Oct. 29.-Burton Hyche, deputy sheriff and game warden of Tuskaloosa county, shot and killed a negro named Nathan Jackson yesterday about 6 o’clock near the county bridge. It seems Hyche had arrested the negro last week for fighting and he sent word to Hyche that he would fix him the next time he saw him. The negro met him yesterday and started towards him when Hyche shot him twice, the first shot proving fatal. Jackson had been teaching school in the county.
