| Transcript: | BIRMINGHAM, ALA., Jan. 25.-At Eutaw, Greene county, Ala., to-day, Jim Seams, a colored man, was hanged for the murder of Deputy Sheriff Autroy a year ago. Seams protested to the last that he shot the deputy in self-defense. His neck was broken by the fall. |
