| Transcript: | JUSTICE APPEASED. Special to the Star. The negro Jim Seams, who murdered Deputy Sheriff Autry, was hung today at noon in the presence of officers, physicians and ministers. Everything passed off without any unusual excitement. The above appeared in the Jasper Evening Star of the 1st inst, under the head of “Town Topics.” We must say that for an infant of a few weeks the Star is certainly making rapid progress. Candidly brother Star, did not said special, by accident, however, appear under the appropriate heading? Was it not a local special? |
