Montgomery, Ala., Jan 31- Governor Henderson has addressed a letter to Sheriff E.C. Godfrey of Sumter county calling for a complete report of the lynching of Richard Burton, 18 year old negro in that county Monday night, January 24. As soon as this report has been received, the governor will determine what action should be taken to apprehend members of the mob.

Burton was lynched and his bodied riddled with bullets after he had been caught in the act of robbing a store which was operated by a white woman.
