We are informed that some of the colored men, at the Circus, last Friday, acted very badly after the shooting of the negro man, by Sam. McGee, by trying to mob McGee, and making violent and unbecoming threats against the whites. This was all wrong, and should not be repeated. If McGee has violated the law, there is a peaceable way of ascertaining that fact, and a proper way of redressing the wrong. Men should be very careful how they undertake to take the law in their own hands. Nothing good ever comes of such conduct, and it is beat always to let the law take its course.
