A special from Carrollton says John Lipsey a negro, after being identified by Mrs. Ed. Windham, was hanged to a tree near the court house at Carrollton early today by a party of men, and the negro’s body perforated with bullets. Mrs. Windham was criminally assaulted by a negro last Monday and is reported in a critical condition.
