The negro, Jim Seams, who shot and killed Deputy Sheriff Autrey on Tuesday night, was captured Friday in the Big Sandy neighborhood, about twenty-five miles south of Tuscdorea, Ala., after a desperate battle with the Sheriff’s posse. He was shot several times, but not fatally. There is considerable talk of lynching.
