Friday news [illegible retrieval of another base crime committed near Randolph in this county, which adds another stain to Bibb’s record. We did not learn the part who found the body, [illegible] than it was found and they reported to Esq. Mahan, who summoned a jury and witnesses to [illegible] him one male from Randolph to the woods, where the body was and with a string tied around its neck, and it was a negro child. Mahan [illegible] his jury [illegible] look such evidence as he [illegible] the case, and the verdict was [illegible] that the infant came [illegible] from strangalation [illegible] mother was a negro [illegible] name Roxie [illegible] was at the time of [illegible] the child in Briarfield [illegible ] returned to the [illegible] warrant issued [illegible] Elliott.
