Transcript: | A Negro Lynched. FLORENCE, Ala., March 25.–Cleveland Harding, the negro who attacked Mrs. Benjamin F. Rice on Friday, was captured about half a mile below town and taken to Mrs. Rice who identified him. He was then taken to a nearby tree and summarily executed by a mob of two hundred persons. More than one thousand bullets entered Harding’s body. |
