While Coup’s circus was performing in Tuscaloosa on the 11th, an altercation took place between a white man and negro, in which the negro was shot and killed by the white man. A crowd of negroes collected and showed some disposition to lynch the man, but were prevented by the prompt interference of several prominent citizens. Everything is now quiet.
