Montgomery Dec. 21.—All is quiet today at Magnolia, Wilcox county, the scene yesterday of the shooting of four white men and the burning of a negro. Posses are still pursuing Will Montgomery, the fourth of the brothers implicated in the murder of Algernon Lewis Saturday and the lynching of the negro is probable if he is caught. Ernest Slade, one of the men shot last night, is dying, the others are not seriously hurt. |
