Mobile, Ala., April 20 (Sun Special). – News has been received from Bay Minette, Ala., near hear, that D. D. Cole, a merchant and assistant postmaster at Little River, in the southern end of Baldwin county, was murdered by negroes last night. Robbery was the motive.

A posse of citizens was organized at once and two negroes, Robert Tate and Ruben Sims, were arrested. Tate confessed to committing the crime. Some of the citizens are protecting the negroes, but before daylight it is expected that one of them will be dead.
