Transcript: | MOBILE, Ala., April 10. – A long distance telephone message to the Register from Bay Minette last night says that Walter Clayton, the negro convict, wo, it is alleged, criminally assaulted Mrs. J. P. White, a white woman, last Saturday but escaped from the mob of lynchers on Sunday morning, has been located in this city. He will be taken to Bay Minette today. |
