BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Jan. 26.–At Eutaw, Green County, Ala., yesterday, Jim Seams, a colored man, was hanged for the murder of deputy sheriff Putney a year ago. Seams protested to the last that he shot the deputy in self-defense. His neck was broken by the fall. |
